Frauen Kirche ( Church of Our Lady)

The Frauen Kirche in English referred to as Church of Our Lady was located almost directly across the street from the hotel we stayed at in Dresden. The original church was built in the 11th century and rebuilt in 1722. The church was completely destroyed during the 1945 bombing of Dresden and was fully rebuilt thanks to gifts from aiding countries as of 2005. The church today is made from sand stones and many parts of it is rebuilt from its original pieces. During the day you can go up to the bell tower and see a panoramic view of Dresden.
